The Ink Well is composed primarily of artists in New York City’s animation and cartooning community. We have a lot of fun sharing the magic behind our shows, films and comics with kids while encouraging them to imagine their own story and character ideas. Our more than 70 artists have worked on such projects as Ice Age, Robots, The Rugrats, Speed Racer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; comic books such as Batman, Archie and Mad Magazine; as well as illustrations for New York Magazine, The New Yorker, Random House and Simon and Schuster.

Among our regular locations of operation are New York Methodist Hospital, Bellevue Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Gilda’s Club and more. The Ink Well was founded in 2005 by Elizabeth Winter.
